Lo, they came to rescue me with their frail boats.

Carry me swiftly where Thou wilt.
I want no rescue!
Lesson
We look at beautiful scenery, we love it, but we ask nothing from it in return. We love it because it is so beautiful. The same way we should love God, because He is the most lovable Being in the universe. Such understanding love is the greatest gift in life. We get more than we ask for when we reach that point.
Prayer
All-beneficent Deity, enlarge my heart that I may love You with wholeness of being.
Rouse in my soul an ever greater and greater power of love.
May I learn to give myself without reserve or calculation.
Grant that I may never again fall under the bondage of self,
But look to You always for guidance and protection.
